Advanced Backpack: Majesties of the Clark Range July 26-August 1, 2015
Experienced backpackers, this Yosemite adventure is for you! Join veteran park ranger, Dick Ewart, on an advanced backpack trip in the spectacular Clark Range. Get ready for several twelve-mile days of hiking through some of the park's most amazing and beautiful scenery. This trip is intended only for the most hardy, experienced backpackers, so come prepared for a challenge.
The Clark Range is Yosemite's southernmost mountain range and is often described as a "range within a range," making it accessible to only the most robust Yosemite backpackers. Your leader, Dick, will share his insider knowledge about these peaks while you cover a total of 55 to 60 miles during this advanced backpack excursion. You'll visit seldom-seen lakes and traverse Yosemite's highest trail pass (Red Peak Pass at 11,200 feet). Join us for the Yosemite backpacking adventure of a lifetime!
All participants must be in excellent physical condition and have solid mountain experience.
The Experience Package includes camping before and after at Bridalveil Creek Campground on July 26 and Aug 1. Camping before and after the trip is not required to participate. Park entry is also included, as needed, along with your wilderness permits and bear canister rental.
